 Q: Who owns MR. PLANT? A: MR. Plant is owned by Alcy Grimes Lambert, a Colorado native who "migrated" to California to attend the University of Southern California (USC). She graduated with a BS in Business Administration and an MBA with an emphasis on marketing and entrepreneurship. After working 24 years in the food industry (yes, she was laid of), her entrepreneurial spirit and love for plants has catapulted a "start-up" company into the forefront of Southern California plantscapers. Q: How long has the company been in business? Longevity assures your interests tomorrow, next month, next year. Your new "investments" are protected! A: MR. PLANT has over 20 years experience. The state of California regularly inspects all interior plants, which assures you have disease and pest free plants. A: MR. PLANT only buys tropical indoor plants that have been certified and inspected by the State Department of Agriculture. Hawaiian grown products are our preferred plants because of higher quality and better response to our weather conditions. We contract with top suppliers and offer a wonderful variety of not only green plants but also flowering plants such as orchids and bromeliads.  Q: Inquire
about training. Does the person servicing your plants receive any formal training?A: MR. PLANT technicians have extensive and ongoing training in plant care, pest identification and customer service. Your service person wears a company approved uniform with logo. All MR. PLANT technicians are "pet friendly" and love dogs and cats. Q: Does the company carry full workers' compensation insurance as well as property and liability insurance? What are the limits? Are the employees bonded? A: MR. PLANT maintains full Workers Compensation Insurance, an Employee Dishonesty Bond and $2,000,000 Business Liability Policy. Q: Is the company a member of any professional interior landscape organizations? Being a member of many trade organizations means the company is keeping abreast with the current advancements within the industry, while becoming more professional. A: MR.
